With the Scholar Dollars grant, Alfred B. Nobel Charter Middle School purchased 80 Chromebooks and two Chromebook charging carts to increase campus technology for student learning.

The Chromebooks are being utilized as an instructional tool to increase student collaboration. Students now have access to Google Suite and Google Classroom which allows them to work together around research, problem-based learning projects, and writing. Teaching staff are now also able to offer real-time feedback as Google docs and Google slides are capable of inviting collaborators and viewers for a more engaging experience.

“This grant has helped Nobel go a long way towards meeting our goal of ensuring that all students have access to a computer to increase computer literacy, research skills and create products that have real world implications.” – Felicia Drew, Assistant Principal
