With the Scholar Dollars Grant, Santiago Elementary expanded its student learning spaces with two completely redesigned STEAM Learning Labs. The Labs feature a green screen and video cameras for student broadcasts, robots for coding applications and makerspace equipment, which includes drills, saws and more.

The labs were created to follow the STEAM Education approach, which offers access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue and critical thinking. The new labs also celebrate Santiago’s school motto: “Where Arts and Science Come Alive.”
